(Highly likely of direct hire between 6-18+ months)

Shifts Available: First: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Second: 3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Third: 6:00 pm - 6:30 am, Weekend Days: 5:30 am - 5:00 pm, Weekend Nights: Friday-Sunday 1:00 pm - 1:00 am

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience OR 4 years of aviation maintenance experience including 2 years working on mid/large size aircraft. Valid Driver’s License required.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate effectively to receive and understand work assignments. Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.
  2. Coordinate with MTL, STM, and the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork accurately and promptly. Assist with shift turnovers as needed.
  3. Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
  4. Identify (tag) customer property and equipment properly. Store aircraft components and customer property securely and safely.
  5. Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment such as external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, and compressed gas cylinders.
  6. Coordinate and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.
  7. Provide training to less experienced technicians.
  8. Protect customer property (PTP).

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain clean and organized shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas.
  2. Implement and support Lean and continuous improvement processes across responsibilities.
  3. Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment properly. Return items to designated storage after use.
  4. Follow safety rules and procedures. Use protective equipment as required. Address unsafe conditions proactively.
  5. Utilize the material tracking system for parts demand, squawk tracking, sign-offs, and labor charging.
  6. Support aircraft certification and final testing, including flight tests as required.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
