Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform safe, reliable on-wing and shop maintenance at Oakland-area locations. You will execute planned and unplanned tasks, troubleshoot, and communicate any exceptions promptly to minimize delays.

Work with teams to meet flight schedules and safety standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current A&P license, and a non-restricted California driver license.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to determine Aircraft System failures, troubleshoot and repair.
• Must be able to use test equipment.
• Must be able to interpret + Adhere to all A/C manuals.
• Must be able to attain engine run and taxi certifications as directed
• Must be able to attain aircraft tow operator certification as directed
• Must be able to complete all Aircraft parts replacements procedures.
• Must be able to maintain and service Aircraft systems in a Line and Hangar environment.
• Must have sufficient computer skills to access and complete electronic AML procedures and computer-based training modules
• Must be able to meet all training requirements in a timely manner
• Must be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle emergencies as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi and troubleshooting aircraft at various MX locations as assigned to minimize delays, cancellations, and OOS impacts.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with the appropriate Manuals.
• Communicate exceptions as they occur and create accurate and complete write-ups with all inputs in a timely manner.
• Additionally, when there is no manager or lead onsite, to accept the daily work release plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
