Job summary
West Star Aviation seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Perryville, MO to work on a range of civilian aircraft. You will perform mechanical tasks, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and assist with inspections as part of a dynamic team.
A high school diploma and FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses are required, with increasing duties as you advance from AMT I to IV. West Star offers benefits from day one, weekly pay, a 401(k) match, and opportunities for growth
Qualifications
- Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
- AMT I: 0-2 years in aviation maintenance / avionics or similar.
- Amt II: 2-4 years in aviation maintenance; corporate aircraft preferred.
- Amt III: 4-6+ years in aviation maintenance; Powerplant highly preferred.
- AMT IV: 6+ years in aviation maintenance; extensive corporate aircraft experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Removal and installation of panels and components.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system issues.
- De-fueling aircraft.
- Engine removal/installations.
- Operating ground support equipment.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Maintain shop facility, equipment and tooling.
- Communicate in English.
- Follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.
