Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Perform all duties of the job classification.
  2. Oversee, as assigned, part or all of the following:
    • Ensure PMI (Planned Maintenance Intervals) schedules/inductions/completions are complied with.
    • Ensure Modification Line Technical Directives (TDs) incorporations are complied with.
    • Ensure S&P (Strip and Paint) schedules/induction/completions are complied with.
    • Ensure SLEP (Service Life Extension Program)/Inlet schedules/induction/completions are complied with.
    • Ensure ISR (In Service Repairs) schedules/completions are complied with.
    • Comprehend and execute the REI / TEI process and work with the Field Support Team.
    • Assign and direct the efforts of employees to ensure timely maintenance completion.
    • Coordinate maintenance actions with other work centers.
    • Authorize cannibalization actions as required.
    • Instruct employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures.
    • Ensure work is completed satisfactorily and records are maintained.
    • Prepare necessary reports for the Government.
    • Assist in mishaps repair/reports as required.
    • Enforce FOD, hazardous waste, and tool control programs.
    • Assist in training programs for employees.
    • Ensure quality control inspections are followed.
    • Maintain records of all work.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Perform other related duties as required.
    • Assist in safety, security, and preservation of equipment.
    • Perform off-site service as needed.
    • Comply with safety rules and regulations.
    • Have in-depth knowledge of technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance procedures.
    • Understand Technical Directives (TDS) and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
    • Basic supply procedures knowledge.
    • Write clearly and accurately in a technical context.
    • Use good judgment, make decisions, and direct work effectively.
    • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
    • Carry out written or verbal instructions accurately.
    • Be customer-oriented.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
  1. High school diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years' experience in Depot Level aircraft maintenance, inspection, and modifications, including 9 years as a Supervisor or Lead (preferred).
  2. Or an Associate's Degree with 6 years' experience, including 4 as a Supervisor.
  3. Or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience, including 2 as a Supervisor.
  4. Must pass any licensing/qualification requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This role is typically in an office/hangar environment, requiring physical movements associated with such settings. May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities.

The work environment varies from comfortable to severe weather conditions, with potential exposure to noise, fumes, electrical hazards, and airborne particles.

LICENSING, CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Training on Hazardous Waste, Tool Control, FOD and TCP Awareness, Security, ORM, and other programs is required. A valid State Driver's License and Egress System Checkout Certification are also required.
