We are seeking a results-driven Aircraft Maintenance Site Supervisor to manage daily maintenance execution, supply workflows, and personnel supporting P-8 series aircraft for Squadron VP-69 at NAS Whidbey Island. In this position, you will be the direct line of management on the floor and in the hangar, bridging the gap between corporate management and technical teams. You will coordinate with the Squadron Maintenance Officer, enforce the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), and monitor labor and production schedules to ensure maximum aircraft availability and contract compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, flight line operations, and aircraft turnaround times.
  • Direct, schedule, and evaluate site personnel including Mechanic IIs, Mechanic IIIs, and Supply Technicians. Maintain optimal labor distribution to support operational goals.
  • Enforce strict floor-level adherence to the NAMP, Tool Control Program, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and active safety regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to resolve inspection discrepancies and review technical documentation, logs, and maintenance tracking entries for absolute accuracy.
  • Partner with the Supply Technician to track parts flow, address material bottlenecks, and optimize tool and asset readiness for the maintenance floor.
  • Act as the first line of escalation for the Navy customer on the floor, providing routine updates on aircraft status, schedules, and resource limitations.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain or obtain an active U.S. military Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for immediate issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. Completion of Navy/Marine Corps "A" and "C" schools or an FAA-approved technical program is highly desired.
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Strong background in Navy Organizational-level (O-level) maintenance environments, preferably with P-8 or Boeing 737 platforms, is strongly preferred.
  • Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or equivalent military aviation credentials. Prior qualification as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) is a significant plus. Must maintain a U.S. military Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Deep operational knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) instructions and aviation safety metrics.
  • Proven capability to motivate, schedule, and direct teams of technicians under strict timelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret technical publications, blueprints, and engineering data to support the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for compiling production reports and updating squadron leadership.
