Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Production Supervisor at Vance Air Force Base to oversee maintenance, flying schedules and branch activities, ensuring safety and compliance with the contract and government orders. You will coordinate with planning to select replacements for next-day flights and maintain disaster response readiness.

The role requires DoD experience, strong leadership and risk management, plus the ability to develop monthly and weekly plans while ensuring 100% mission

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related field, and five (5) years relative experience, three (3) years of which must be Department of Defense experience.
• In lieu of a degree, must have a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related experience, five (5) years of which must be Department of Defense experience.
• Must possess a current U.S. state drivers’ license (REAL ID preferred).
• Must possess ability to understand and comply with Government publications and technical orders.
• Must possess ability to perform analytical analysis and apply risk management techniques.
• Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and coaching skills.
• Prior experience with unionized workforce highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate aircraft maintenance, flying schedules, and branch activities.
• Ensure safe, on-time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform the mission.
• Coordinate with Plans and Scheduling on aircraft to fly the following day.
• Implement on-base disaster control duties and evacuation procedures.
• Maintain on-base disaster map with functional checklist for disasters.
• Develop and execute monthly and weekly flying and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate programmed maintenance activities and monitor progress via aircraft forms.
• Ensure training for mechanics/technicians to be task qualified and certified.
• Keep Branch Manager informed and enforce data integrity.
• Perform other position-related duties; 40-hour work week, Monday–Friday, with some weekends.

Job description

Job Summary: The Aircraft Maintenance Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates production activities to include aircraft maintenance, flying schedules, and other branch activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ensures the execution of aircraft maintenance, flying schedules, and other Branch activities are being accomplished in a safe appropriate manner acceptable to the Government and in accordance with the contract performance work statement/statement of work.
• Assess the suitability of aircraft with repeat, recur and cannot duplicate discrepancies for continued flight.
• Establishes procedures to minimize foreign object damage and dropped objects.
• Coordinate with Plans and Scheduling on non-mission capable aircraft scheduled to fly on the following day so a replacement aircraft may be selected prior to the daily schedule.
• Fully understand and be prepared to implement specific on-base disaster control duties and responsibilities pertaining to aircraft/support equipment movement and personnel evacuation procedures.
• Maintain a current copy of on-base disaster map with appropriate functional checklist outlining duties during disaster scenarios.
• Participate in developing and executing the monthly and weekly flying and maintenance schedules/plans.
• Coordinates all efforts to ensure 100% safe, on time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform the Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training mission.
• Coordinates all programmed on-equipment, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, and monitor progress through aircraft forms and the Maintenance Information System.
• Coordinate and executes all training requirements within his/her specific area of responsibility to ensure all mechanics/technicians are task qualified and certified.
• Ensures Branch Manager is kept informed of all maintenance activities. - Responsible for implementing and enforcing data integrity.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
• This position requires a minimum 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, and some weekends.

Compensation Details:

Salary Range: $95K - $105K
