The Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Logs and Records Technician to support aviation maintenance operations at MCAS Camp Pendleton.

In this role, you will maintain meticulous aircraft and engine logbooks, manage technical data entry, and optimize recordkeeping systems.

You will serve as a key administrative and technical link, managing data retrieval, networking functions, and asset archives to directly sustain squadron readiness during home-cycle and active detachment operations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete and accurate aircraft, engine, and component logbooks alongside all associated historical aviation records.
  • Execute high-precision data entry, information retrieval, and system operator functions within automated maintenance databases.
  • Perform networking functions between individual data stations, including analyzing data streams, identifying system discrepancies, and correcting hardware or software errors.
  • Extract critical maintenance data, formulate and interpret management readiness reports, and generate secure data archives to support deployment and off-site detachment operations.
  • Perform a wide range of clerical and administrative duties, including typing official correspondence, drafting maintenance reports, maintaining physical and digital files, and conducting periodic database and systems analyses.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Vocational training or relevant military aviation coursework is highly preferred).
  • 1 to 3+ years of direct experience managing military aircraft logs, records, and aviation maintenance documentation.
  • Proven proficiency operating automated naval aviation maintenance information systems (such as NALCOMIS / OOMA or equivalent recordkeeping databases).
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills for baseline hardware/software error correction, sharp attention to detail, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
