We are seeking an organized and methodical Aircraft Logs and Records Technician to manage administrative and technical data control operations for P-8 series aircraft supporting Squadron VP-69 at NAS Whidbey Island. • Utilize Navy-approved automated maintenance tracking databases (such as NALCOMIS/OOMA) to log configuration changes, component replacements, and flight data.

  • Process, log, and track the status of all incoming Technical Directives, Airframe Change notices, and Modification Work Orders (MWOs) to ensure fleet compliance.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor and Quality Assurance teams in compiling data for safety inspections, logbook verifications, and periodic NAMP compliance audits.
  • Screen and verify maintenance actions turned in by aircraft mechanics to ensure all technical documentation is complete and error-free before formal log entry.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess and maintain or obtain an active U.S. military Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for immediate issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a formal military aviation administrative or data control training school (e.g., Navy Aviation Maintenance Administrationman "A" School or civilian equivalent technical training) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of dedicated experience managing military or commercial aviation logs, records, and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated, hands‑on experience using automated aviation logistics systems (specifically OOMA/NALCOMIS or equivalent enterprise aviation databases) is required.
  • Thorough working knowledge of standard Navy aviation nomenclature, technical publications, and logbook filing structures.
  • Deep familiarity with the data tracking mandates outlined in the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in technical descriptions or tracking serial numbers.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate data corrections with maintenance control, inspectors, and mechanics.
