Job summary

Placements24 in London is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Interior Technician to join our maintenance team. This role focuses on maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of cabin interiors to ensure passenger comfort and aircraft presentation.

You will work with fabrics, composites, plastics, and metals, read and interpret technical drawings, and install cabin systems such as IFE, lighting and power outlets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as Aircraft Interior Technician or related refurbishment role.
• Experience with cabin materials (fabrics, composites, plastics, metals).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and repair schemes.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and replacement of cabin components (seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins).
• Inspect for damage or wear, documenting findings and recommending repairs.
• Execute cosmetic refurbishments to maintain cabin aesthetics and function.
• Install and troubleshoot cabin systems (IFE, lighting, power outlets).
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specs, airworthiness standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and proper tool storage.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Interior Technician to join their maintenance team in East London. This role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring a high standard of passenger comfort and aircraft presentation. You will work with a variety of materials and systems within the cabin, contributing to the overall passenger experience and the aesthetic appeal of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and replacement of aircraft interior components, including seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, and carpeting.
• Conduct inspections to identify damage or wear and tear on cabin interiors, reporting findings and recommending necessary repairs.
• Execute cosmetic repairs and refurbishments to maintain cabin aesthetics and functionality.
• Install and troubleshoot cabin interior systems such as in-flight entertainment (IFE), lighting, and power outlets.
• Ensure all work complies with aircraft manufacturer specifications, airworthiness standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and materials.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as an Aircraft Interior Technician or in a related refurbishment/upholstery role.
• Experience working with aircraft cabin materials such as fabrics, composites, plastics, and metals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and repair schemes related to aircraft interiors.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for interior repairs and installations.
