Job summary

Avflight Grand Rapids is seeking a Line Services Technician to deliver fueling, oil, hangar and tie down storage, lavatory service, courtesy car transportation, luggage handling, and interior/exterior services to customers and other departments.

You will perform commercial ramp operations, aircraft cleaning, and related duties, while maintaining safety standards in a dynamic airport environment and supporting diverse teams across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years related experience; aviation experience is a plus.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test; valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to write clearly and legibly.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 70 lbs. for extended periods; work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts.

Responsibilities

• Fuel and de-ice aircraft to standards.
• Direct aircraft movements on ramp and in hangars; secure aircraft and perform light maintenance.
• Drive and service fuel trucks and ground support vehicles; handle fuels and supplies.
• Provide de-icing service to aircraft as needed.
• Perform grounds keeping and janitorial tasks; assist with snow removal.
• Assist aircraft crews and passengers with services.
• Conduct daily checks and fuel farm inspections; ensure safety orders are followed.
• Maintain compliance with FAA and company safety policies.
