Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking an Exterior Finish Trainee to learn tasks that prep and complete the aircraft for delivery. You will assist with surface preparation, primer, and post-paint finishing to achieve a high-quality exterior.

Additional duties include applying sealants, installing vinyl stripes, basic assembly, and final detailing to ensure customer satisfaction and strict quality standards. The role emphasizes hands-on training across the painting area, with progression to become a Level I

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prev. work experience showing dependability and strong work ethic.
• Basic ability to use a computer and software.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation: clean, sand, and mask aircraft surfaces for paint.
• Primer application: apply primer for even coverage and surface readiness.
• Post-paint finishing: sand, buff, and polish painted surfaces for a smooth finish.
• Cosmetic sealant application: apply sealants for protection and aesthetics.
• Vinyl stripes installation: align and apply vinyl stripes with precision.
• Assembly: perform basic assembly tasks per engineering drawings.
• Detailing: final clean and inspect aircraft before delivery.
