Job summary

NAWCTSD in California seeks an Aircraft Examiner (Aircraft Mechanic) in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division of Fleet Readiness Center Southwest. You will identify and document tasks and discrepancies on aircraft systems and components suitable for continued service without replacement, rework, or processing.

You will ensure rework meets technical specifications, determine the induction configuration, and identify directives needed to produce the required product

Responsibilities

• Identify and document tasks and discrepancies on aircraft systems, components, and accessories suitable for continued service without replacement, rework, or processing.
• Ensure rework is performed within technical specifications and meets negotiated labor/material requirements by applying appropriate examination methods.
• Determine induction configuration and which technical directives must be accomplished to produce the required product configuration.
• Identify tasks beyond required depot rework specifications including labor and material.
• Collect and provide data for engineering RCM, logistics analysis, norms and budget formulation, material forecasting, and workload planning.
