Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an EMC engineering lead to manage complex assignments related to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics. You will drive analyses, simulations, and regulatory compliance to support EMC certification across production and in-service environments.

The role requires leadership to guide junior engineers and interns, collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and active participation in certification activities and knowledge capture initiatives.

Qualifications

• EMC/EMI engineering knowledge required.
• Experience with EMI/HIRF/LIRF, lightning and electrostatics.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor juniors.
• Familiarity with certification regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering assignments related to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics using analyses, simulations, or analytical methods.
• Drive resolution of electromagnetic issues to support EMC certification and sustaining activities for production and in-service.
• Define scope of work, plan milestones, highlight risks, and complete tasks per priorities.
• Review and approve test procedures, test reports, and analysis reports; verify certification compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and interns; coach and train new EMC staff.
