Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to install, troubleshoot, program, adjust, test, and repair complex aircraft electrical/environmental systems. The role includes training and evaluating personnel and performing final functional tests on equipment.

The position requires adherence to safety rules, use of tool control, and reports issues to improve performance. Occasional TDY and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• OPM X-118C WG-2800 standards apply for qualification.
• Screen-out element: ability to perform AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN duties with little supervision.
• Knowledge of electrical/environmental systems integration with hydraulic, fuel, electronic armament, instrument, weapon systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering instructions.
• Safety, tool control, and material security awareness per orders.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical/environmental systems on aircraft.
• Provide training and evaluation of Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military as required.
• Perform final functional and operational tests of complex electrical/environmental systems.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
