Job summary

Lockheed Martin seeks an Aircraft Technician to support F-22 electrical systems at Langley Air Force Base, VA. The role involves servicing, repairing, and overhauling electrical systems to ensure airworthiness and reliability.

You will read engineering drawings, use precision test equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures. FAA/AFSC/NEC equivalents are preferred for candidacy.

Qualifications

  • Fighter Aircraft/Attack/Cargo/Utility Helicopters or similar aircraft avionics/electrical experience required.
  • Equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA certificate or USAF AFSC/Navy NEC rating preferred.
  • Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms, Documentation, and Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a dedicated Aircraft technician to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-22 aircraft. This position is located out of Langley Air Force Base, VA. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities. Some of the job requirements & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Service, repairs, and overhauls F-22 aircraft electrical systems to ensure airworthiness.
  • Repair, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft electrical systems. Incorporate engineering changes.
  • Replaces and repairs worn or damaged components.
  • Adjust, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories
  • Read and interpret F-22 engineering drawings, technical manuals, electrical systems, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes
  • Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
  • Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationship of circuits.
  • Perform such tasks as making circuit analyzes, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
  • Use complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices, may provide technical guidance.
  • During periods of non electrical work, application of Low Observable material/SAS maintenance, or other TCTO's is required or such as directed.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

Physical Requirements

This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. This position regularly requires to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry. Position may also require extended work hours.

Basic Qualifications

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

  • Fighter Aircraft/Attack/Cargo/Utility Helicopters or similar aircraft Avionics/Electrical experience required
  • Previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA certificate
  • Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms
  • Documentation, and Supply Chain Management
Desired Skills

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

  • Aircraft Battle Damage Repair or Combat Logisitics Support Repair Experience
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $33.37 - $61.92

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
