Tradewind Aviation in San Juan, PR is seeking a meticulous Aircraft Detailer to keep our aircraft in pristine condition for passengers, crew, and inspections. You will perform interior cleaning, exterior detailing, polishing, and surface protection while ensuring safety regulations are followed.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends/holidays, the ability to lift heavy items, and a valid US driver's license plus passport.

Responsabilidades

• Interior cleaning: vacuum carpets and upholstery, cabins, galleys, lavatories, and cockpits.
• Exterior detailing: wash, wax, polish, and buff aircraft surfaces.
• Apply protective coatings and decals as needed; inspect for damage or wear.
• Record completed tasks and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Collaborate with maintenance, ramp, and customer service teams to ensure aircraft readiness.

This position reports directly to the base maintenance supervisor.Aircraft Detailers ensure that Tradewind Aviation’s aircraft are presented in pristine condition for passengers, crew, and inspections. The role combines meticulous attention to detail with knowledge of aviation safety standards, requiring both technical skill and a strong work ethicMust be flexible with work schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays.Essential Functions• Interior cleaning: Vacuum carpets and upholstery, clean cabins, galleys, lavatories, and cockpits• Exterior detailing: Wash, wax, polish, and buff aircraft fuselage, windows, and surfaces.• Surface protection: Apply protective compounds, polishes, and coatings to prevent damage• Inspection: Check for damage, wear, or defects; report issues to supervisors• Minor repairs: Apply decals, striping, or minor fixes as required• Safety compliance: Follow all aviation safety regulations and chemical handling• Documentation: Record completed tasks and note any discrepancies• Collaboration: Work with maintenance, ramp, and customer service teams to ensure aircraft readiness• Maintain a clean and organized hangar.• Assist mechanics when able.• Provide positive, team-oriented collaboration and customer service with all internal and external stakeholders, project partners, and business users.• Other duties as assignedRequirementsRequired Qualifications• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Proficiency with cleaning products, polishes, waxes, and specialized tools• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Valid US Driver’s License + Clean Driving Record• Valid passport without travel restrictions• Fluency in English is required.
