Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Corrosion Control Technician to inspect, treat, and prevent corrosion on military aircraft. The role involves washing, lubrication, corrosion removal, and preparing surfaces for repainting in alignment with safety and DoD procedures.

Candidates must have specialized corrosion knowledge, ability to read instructions, and willingness to work varied shifts. A Secret clearance is required with restrictions on citizenship, and training in hazardous materials and ORM is expected.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of corrosion theory, conditions leading to corrosion and removal/treatment procedures.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written or oral instructions.
• Knowledge of DoD, Navy and OSHA safety standards.
• U.S. Citizenship required for Secret Clearance; must obtain/maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and treat corrosion, wash/clean and lubricate aircraft and components.
• Prepare aircraft for painting and perform touch-up painting.
• Maintain FOD prevention and safety compliance.
• Order parts and tools as needed for corrosion control.
• Work shifts including days/nights/weekends as required.
