Aircraft Specialties Inc in Omaha is seeking an aircraft component technician to join a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Prior aircraft maintenance is valued but not required; must be able to lift 50 lbs and work within shop hours from 7:00am to 4:00pm with flexible hours available.

The role emphasizes thorough inspection, disassembly and reassembly of hydraulic and brake components, coatings, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; FAA Part 145 regulations knowledge preferred.
  • Must read, write and speak English; mechanical aptitude essential.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Clean applicable parts using solvent and blasting processes.
  • Inspect and test parts with calipers, micrometers, and spring testers per manuals.
  • Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic, brake, and wheel components.
  • Perform minor repairs to heat shields, pistons, and threads.
  • Apply protective coatings using proper lubrication methods.
  • Maintain quality service and a safe, clean workspace.
  • Enter required information into computer and update records.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by workshops and publications.
