We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Aircraft Component Painter at Simulation AI. The role involves inspecting, preparing, and painting aircraft components to meet high standards, as well as maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspect units prior to painting for paint, dirt, oil, and nicks.
- Clean and dress nicks as necessary for prep and taping of units to be painted.
- Paint units to the OHM and highest standards.
- Clean and maintain all painting equipment.
- Complete all required forms and reports.
- Maintain a clean and healthy workstation and change filters within the paint booth.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Maintain PO labels of all paints and chemicals with inspection dates.
- Participate in FAA DOT Drug and Alcohol Program, including random testing. Negative drug screening is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Self-starter capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong desire to excel in aviation maintenance with excellent analytical, deductive reasoning skills, and attention to detail.
- Possession of basic tools and reliable transportation.
- Understanding of manufacturer’s maintenance data, airworthiness directives, and FAA-approved maintenance practices.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds individually and team lift heavier objects.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Auto painting experience is a plus.
