Job summary

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures, LLC in Miami seeks an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our aircraft component maintenance shop. The ideal candidate has a strong background in component repair and a proven record of leading skilled technicians while maintaining FAA compliance and safety standards.

You will coordinate with QA, Engineering and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery, supervise sheet metal and composite repairs, track performance metrics and prepare

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in aircraft component maintenance with 2+ years in supervision.
• Strong background in sheet metal and composite repair.
• Familiar with FAA regulations, 145 repair stations and EASA standards.
• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
• Proficient with maintenance tracking systems and shop software.
• Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily shop operations, ensuring workflow and timely repairs.
• Coordinate with QA, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.
• Oversee technicians performing sheet metal and composite repairs.
• Ensure FAA, company policies, safety and environmental standards compliance.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics for process improvements.
• Provide training, mentoring, and evaluation of shop personnel.
• Prepare and present operational reports to upper management.

Job Description

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our aircraft component maintenance shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft component repair, a deep understanding of FAA and industry compliance standards and exceptional team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead and supervise daily shop operations ensuring workflow and efficiency and adherence to repair schedules and TAT.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Customer Service departments to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Oversee and support technicians performing sheet metal and/or composite repairs.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Train, mentor and evaluate shop personnel
• Provide technical input and support on complex repairs.
• Prepare and present operational reports to upper management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong technical background in aircraft component repair, including sheet metal and composite work.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, 145 repair station requirements and EASA standards.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and effective team management skills.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in maintenance tracking systems and shop management software (Pentagon preferred)
• Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.
