Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Appleton is seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to support avionics and electrical systems on in-service Gulfstream aircraft. You will verify performance, perform cockpit and cabin checks, and coordinate with CS Operations, Vendors, Quality, and Engineering for timely solutions.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Aviation Avionics and 8 years of avionics/electrical experience; A&P license preferred. Travel up to 25% and on-site work in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Aviation Avionics or equivalent experience.
• 8 years Avionics/Electrical experience.
• A&P license preferred.
• Repairman certificate preferred.
• FCC license preferred.
• NCATT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and guidance on installation, service, repair, replacement, modification, and maintenance of Gulfstream aircraft systems and support equipment.
• Coordinate with Quoting/Sales, Tech Ops, Engineering and Inspection/Return to Service for installs, configurations/modifications, certifications, troubleshooting assistance and compliance of systems and processes.
• Identify problems, trends, and troubleshoot in-service aircraft; develop procedures; evaluate test equipment.
• Configure aircraft systems and advise on compatibility and options.
• Provide customer training on new systems installed on the aircraft.
• Collaborate with manufacturers/vendors to validate software/config changes for testing.
• Train avionics technicians on implemented systems.
• Support customer satisfaction by timely issue resolution and proposing alternative approaches.
• Support road trips to repair discrepancies at customer facilities; work independently to quickly analyze and correct defects.
