Job summary

Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland-based DCS Corp seeks an experienced Aircraft Avionics Engineer to apply expertise to the integration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of advanced aircraft avionics and mission systems.

You will work alongside engineering and program professionals in a mission-focused environment supporting U.S. Navy aviation, collaborating across systems engineering, maintenance, and flight test to deliver reliable avionics functionality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline plus 5 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience with avionics.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of advanced avionics.
  • Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Review process.
  • Evaluate vendor design and requirements documents for technical accuracy.
  • Provide technical expertise supporting system designs and aircraft integration efforts.
  • Testing and troubleshooting avionics and integration into aircraft.

Join our team supporting critical aviation and naval engineering efforts at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Avionics Engineer to apply their technical expertise to the integration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of advanced aircraft avionics and mission systems.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering and program professionals in a mission-focused environment supporting U.S. Navy aviation.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of aircraft electrical and avionics systems, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, maintenance, test, and program teams. Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee the development of advanced avionics.
  • Participate in Systems Engineering Technical Review process.

Required Skills:
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline plus 5 years of experience is required.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • At least 3 years of experience with avionics.
Desired Skills:
  • Master's Degree in any engineering discipline.
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR systems engineering processes.
Pay Range and Benefits:

There are a variety of factors that can influence salary at DCS Corp, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

Salary Range: $90,220 - $140,000
