Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience in assembling, installing, and inspecting components according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, supporting continuous production flow, and assisting team members across different classification levels.

  1. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to assemble and install parts.
  2. Set up and operate manual and automated assembly equipment and portable machinery.
  3. Perform rework, fabrication, change incorporation, and functional testing during or after final assembly.
  4. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  5. Identify, report, and investigate errors in parts, tools, or assembly procedures.
  6. Perform minor machine maintenance (e.g., changing filters, light bulbs, maintaining coolant levels).
  7. Assist in training, coaching, and supporting other team members.
  8. Document and report discrepancies according to company procedures.
  9. Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified.
  10. Support continuous product flow by efficiently moving parts and assemblies.
  11. Must be able to stand and work for the entire 8-hour shift and work overtime/weekends as needed.

Qualifications
  • Local candidates strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) and flexible to work other shifts if required.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends per business needs.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience with assembly operations, functional testing, and quality inspections.
  • Comfortable with manual labor, standing for long periods, and handling tools/machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality control.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in aerospace as assembler
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) practices.
