Metrea seeks a Development Lead with deep Air domain expertise to design and deliver elegant solutions for national security partners across civil and military domains.

You will evaluate manned and unmanned airborne platforms, sensors, and communications, and work with lab teams to transition concepts into deployable capabilities. Strong bid leadership and industry collaboration are essential.

Position Summary

This roleleveragesdeep experience in Airborne ISRto design and develop elegant solutions to the hardest problems in aerospace (civil and military,mannedand unmanned). As a Development Lead you have a deep understanding of Air domain effects, sensors and capabilities, the missions they are employed within and the markets and customers thatrequirethem.

What You'll Do

• Build relationships with government partners at multiple levels to understand the wicked problems they are facing, with a particular focus on ISR
• Identifymarket demand or solutions to our customer’s problems – lead the capture activity to generate compelling and compliant proposals that maximize our p(Win)
• Work with Metrea’s core and support groups to design, develop, and deliver elegant solutions for government partners, including evaluating manned and unmanned airborne platforms, sensors for those platforms, communications infrastructure, and PED/analysis as required
• As a Development Lead you will work closely with colleagues in otherdomainse.g.Cyber, EW, andSimulationto createtruly uniqueeffects as a service. You will also work with our lab teams to help transition concepts into products or abilities that can be employed by ourmannedand unmanned assets
• Work with industry to understand the best available current and future technology across all aspects of ISR solution delivery, and to identify potential industry partners
• Turn prospects into programs – work with program managers to ensure our services are constantly evolving to cement our incumbency and stay at the leading edge of what is possible

What You Bring

• A broad and deep understanding of Air domain sensors and abilities, and experience with bringing them to bear onmannedand unmanned platforms
• Broad experience of Air domain missions. Emphasis is on Manned Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (MAISR), experienceof broader Air domain mission setse.g.Aerial Fire Fighting, Air to Air Refueling, Strategic Transport and Mobility is desirable
• Experienced in developing or delivering Air domain developmental or operational solutions to national security partners
• Some experience preferred in leading complex Air domain bids and in generating bid quality technical content

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• 10+ combined experience in Aerospace and Defense. A mix of military and civil experience is preferred
• Must have operational experience in a relevant mission, ideally an ISR or Law Enforcement (LE) role with a military or government customer
• The ability to create high quality, technically sound written work to a deadline in support of bids and proposals is essential
