Job summary

Civic Minds is seeking a hands-on supervisory engineer to lead the design, test, integration, and production of airborne electronics LRUs for mission equipment. You will manage a multidisciplinary team and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting harsh military specifications.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, at least five years with airborne equipment, and proven leadership and communication skills to drive complex projects and customer-facing design

Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent with solid engineering proficiency in electrical engineering and the design of electronic products.
  • Minimum 5 years design and development experience on airborne equipment, preferably in military contexts.
  • Knowledge of military electronics requirements and standards.
  • Ability to create and manage product specifications and test plans.
  • Proficiency with standard test instruments and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, test, integration, and production of airborne electronics LRUs.
  • Direct a team of electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical engineers to meet schedule and budget.
  • Plan and conduct internal and customer meetings, design reviews and acceptance gates.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance across multiple concurrent projects.
