Job summary

Army National Guard Units in Waterloo, Iowa seeks an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12, for Title 32 service. The role covers maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of diverse sensor subsystems such as IVHMS, CMWS, NVG, AHRS, and related data and control systems.

Responsibilities include bench checks, LRU servicing, component alignment and system checkout. A Secret clearance is required; the position is located at AASF 2, Waterloo. Applications follow Fed Internal Search.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems and subsystems.
• Completes checks and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU) using manuals and test equipment.
• Aligns sensors and related components; installs serviceable components and performs systems checkout.
• Maintains and calibrates TMDE and related diagnostic equipment.
• Tests solid state assemblies, identifies faulty parts and repairs to authorized level.
• Recommends improvements to equipment performance and maintenance procedures.
• Debriefs aircrews to determine malfunctions and documents maintenance actions.
• May serve on flight crew and perform readiness evaluations as required.
• Trains junior mechanics and manages supply assets and material storage.
