Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. is seeking an Air-Vehicle Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) Engineer to accelerate the development of autonomous weapon systems within the AD&S division.

You will lead cross‑discipline MDAO efforts, integrate AI tools, and drive multi‑fidelity workflows across design stages from concept through detailed engineering. The role requires extensive MDAO experience, strong scripting in Python/MATLAB, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience in aircraft and/or missile design and analysis.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing MDAO methods across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Proven experience developing/deploying MDAO workflows and toolsets.
• Expertise in optimization, sensitivity analysis, UQ, and DOE methods.
• Experience applying large language models or AI to engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead MDAO initiatives with cross‑discipline teams to define data‑driven workflows.
• Shape the strategic roadmap for MDAO capabilities and deploy multi‑fidelity workflows.
• Design parameterized geometry models for multidisciplinary analysis.
• Accelerate design insights by integrating disciplinary models early in design iterations.
• Develop and apply advanced MDAO methods and AI enhancements to improve efficiency.
• Document and train teams on MDAO tools and workflows.
