Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an Air Traffic Control Operator to manage airborne and ground traffic, provide precise instructions to crew, and support safe flight operations. The role includes briefing shift personnel on runway use, weather, and airfield conditions, with training leading to civilian aviation opportunities.

You will complete 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by 14 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, gaining skills in aviation operations, communications, and control

Qualifications

• Knowledge of air traffic control management and procedures.
• Familiar with radar communications and aircraft identification.
• Ability to brief shift personnel on runway utilization and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Control airborne and ground traffic.
• Assist in installation/relocation of air traffic control facilities.
• Process flight plan data and maintain logs/records.
