Responsibilities

• Plan and direct operations within delegated areas of responsibility.
• Provides first line supervision to a team of developmental and certified professional controllers.
• Supervise staff of air traffic control specialists responsible for ATC assignments within a geographic area.
• Plan and assign work; set work priorities and schedules.
• Approve leave; advise, counsel, and instruct employees on work and administrative matters.
• Evaluate performance and recommend ratings.
• Identify and arrange for developmental and other training needs of employees.
• Find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed.
