Job summary

Air Force Reserve Command is seeking an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to join the regular federal civil service with full benefits. The role emphasizes manpower, personnel, and services knowledge, with responsibilities including staff guidance and policy development.

The position may require travel and irregular hours to support unit training assemblies (UTAs). This ART requires experience in civilian and military personnel systems, and the ability to mentor staff, lead meetings, and communicate

Qualifications

• Knowledge of manpower concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, programs, and practices.
• Extensive knowledge of civilian and military personnel concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, programs, and practices.
• Knowledge of services concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, programs, and practices; education readiness, budget execution concepts.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct functions; mentor and appraise staff.
• Strong oral and written communication to prepare briefings, lead discussions, and prepare reports.
• Knowledge of management principles in civilian and military personnel systems; integrate both aspects.

Responsibilities

• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Travel may be required on military or commercial aircraft.
• Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and recall as needed.
• Aligns ART duties with unit training assemblies to participate fully.
• Incumbent may perform some non-ART duties up to ~30% of total responsibilities.
• Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid or part-time work and volunteer experience.
