Responsibilities

• Assists in researching impacted Air Quality Related Values (AQRV) and cause/effect relationships.
• Implements inventory and monitoring methods to evaluate conditions of flora, fauna, water, visibility, and resources at risk from air pollution.
• Provides written recommendations on air resource practices to management.
• Offers technical advice to fire management on smoke management related to air resources.
• Collaborates with regulatory authorities on technical air management aspects.
• Provides training within the unit on Air Resource Management.
• Maintains an air quality monitoring database with data and reports for diverse users.
• Reviews monitoring and quality control plans for special projects.
