Job summary

Pinyon Environmental seeks an experienced Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Specialist/Environmental Scientist to support air quality permitting for oil & gas, commercial/industrial, transportation, and government clients. The role may include noise analyses and requires strong regulatory knowledge and client interaction.

Responsibilities include permit development, regulatory interpretation, and greenhouse gas reporting, with potential leadership of junior staff and involvement in proposals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 4–8 years in air quality professional services.
• Experience with federal/state regulatory review.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.
• Prefer experience with emission/impacts models ProMax, AERMOD, MOVES.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks including client interaction and delivery quality.
• Develop air permit applications for federal/state agencies.
• Review state and federal regulations and apply to client cases.
• Maintain compliance records and permit reporting.
• Report greenhouse gas and state inventory data.
• Delegate tasks to junior staff as needed.
• Contribute to air quality proposals and client marketing.
• Perform transportation conformity analyses per DOT/FHWA.
