County of Imperial is seeking an experienced Air Quality Technician to install, test, operate, maintain, and repair air-monitoring equipment and meteorological data collection devices in support of the network. The position emphasizes ensuring high-quality data collection both in the shop and in the field.

The role requires 3 years of experience with analog/digital air quality equipment, or 2 years plus 30 college units in electronics.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience installing, inspecting, operating and repairing analog and digital air quality monitoring equipment and recording devices for an industrial or public agency.
• Or: Two (2) years of experience installing, inspecting, operating, and repairing analog and digital air quality monitoring equipment and recording devices for an industrial or public agency, AND thirty (30) semester units of college level course work in electronics or a closely related field.
• Must possess a California driver’s license and possess, or be able to obtain, a State of California Visible Emissions Evaluation Certificate (VEE) within one (1) year of appointment.

Responsabilités

• Installs, maintains, calibrates and repairs a variety of electronic and mechanical equipment used in air monitoring and meteorological data collection.
• Under supervision, tests, operates, maintains, and repairs air-monitoring equipment in the shop or in the field to ensure quality data.
• Performs related duties and may be required to drive own vehicle and provide evidence of liability insurance.
