Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking an Air Quality Monitor / Environmental Field Technician to support asbestos abatement and regulated building material projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

This is an entry-to-mid level role for someone with at least 6 months of field experience and a drive to grow professionally. You will gain hands-on project exposure with mentorship, a company vehicle, and a gas card, while advancing knowledge of air sampling,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 6 months of environmental monitoring or related fieldwork.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Familiarity with asbestos regulations (OSHA/EPA).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects, including PCM sampling and clearance testing.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain air monitoring and sampling equipment.
• Collect bulk samples of suspect asbestos-containing materials.
• Provide on-site oversight of abatement activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and health & safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed field notes, logs, and daily reports documenting site activities and findings.
• Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and clients to support successful project execution.
• Review laboratory data and assist in preparing technical reports and clearance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and applicable state guidelines.
• Travel to project sites across commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
