Job summary

EDGE is seeking an Air Quality Consultant in the Houston, TX area to assist project managers and senior consultants in preparing technically detailed air permit applications and compliance reports with high attention to detail.

You will work with major energy, manufacturing and chemical industry clients and regulators, balancing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget goals. EDGE supports career growth through training and coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering (environmental or chemical) is required.
• Excellent Excel and data-tracking skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare air permit applications/registrations for federal and state agencies.
• Prepare emission estimates using site-specific information and standard methodologies.
• Learn and apply current regulations as they relate to clients.
• Assist with environmental compliance audits under guidance of air quality expert.
• Prepare annual emissions reports (state inventories, GHG, TRI).
• Develop periodic compliance reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual).
• Conduct federal and state air quality regulatory reviews.
• May conduct air dispersion modeling (SCREEN3, AERMOD).
• Assist clients with ongoing air quality compliance.
