Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is seeking an Operations Control Specialist in O’Fallon, MO to provide real-time operational control and risk assessment for air ambulance missions. You will support the Central Communications Center, maintenance, and field resources while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring weather, advising flight windows, and preparing operational reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• FAA required initial and annual recurrent knowledge and practical examination (training provided).
• Experience in Part 135 helicopter EMS industry desired.
• Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Critical thinking at an operational level.

Responsibilities

• Provides Operational assistance and Operational Control.
• Monitors weather information for pilots and communicates windows for transports.
• Advises pilots of operational windows to support air ambulance transports.
• Manages air ambulance crews in conjunction with Central Communications Center.
• Performs risk analysis across service area by evaluating pilot capabilities and weather trends.
• Declines or cancels unsafe flights as per OPSSPECS A008 and CRM escalation.
• Prepares operational reports as directed by leadership.
• Collaborates with Flight Operations and Communications to support Center management.
• Develops and tests Company EAP/PAIP with leadership.
