Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in California is seeking an Air Logistics Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy team moving cargo and baggage within an airport property setting. This cross-dock operation supports on-time deliveries across the United States in a non-temperature-controlled indoor/outdoor environment.

Job Summary

The role of our Air LogisticsWarehouse Supervisorinvolves directly supervising a busy team ofAirport Logistics associates who move packages by hand and pushcart in and around our indoor/outdoor facility that islocatedon airport property. This is a roll up your sleeves job that supports a talented team of professionals who ensure packages arrive on time to destinations across the United States.This is a cross-dock operation; our role is tofacilitatedaily throughput of packages fromaircraftto warehouse to trucks with no/minimal storage.Our indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled, and you may work in or around aircraft.

• Monitors the quantity and quality of work performance of assigned personnel.
• Directs personnel within assigned functional area.
• Oversees and advises on staffing needs for appropriate coverage.
• Participates in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates.
• Ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements.
• May be required to communicate with Airport Board officials and individual customers.
• Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
• Maintains and controls all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA requirements.
• Ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations and contractual agreements.
• Reads, understands and clarifies the implementation of the site‑specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge.
• Administers practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.
• Two to five years previous management/specialist supervisory experience in field service duties dependent judgment and decision‑making skills required.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with personal computer software helpful.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
