Job Summary

As an Air Logistics Warehouse Associate, you will help ensure the punctual delivery of express packages by loading and unloading air freight containers, moving these containers from aircraft to trucks for delivery. This cross-dock operation involves moving packages directly from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with minimal storage. The environment is indoor, open-air, and may involve working around aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload express packages from air freight containers to trucks and vice versa.
  • Sort, scan, and move small packages within the warehouse.
  • Assemble or disassemble package containers for flights.
  • Remove tie-downs and gear during loading/unloading.
  • Operate handling equipment like pallet jacks and gaylords.
  • Weigh, label, and break down gaylords or containers.
  • Check containers for correct piece count, weight, dimensions, and documentation according to safety guidelines.
  • Report on time, including overtime, shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Complete required training, both computer-based and on-the-job.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Work outdoors, exposed to weather, engine noise, and fumes.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferably one year of similar experience, but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license (depending on station).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and understanding.
  • Ability to respond to verbal commands and safety warnings, with or without visual aids.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Judgment of distances.
  • Effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Lift up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
  • Work in various weather conditions.
  • Stand for entire shifts and move across facilities.
