Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is hiring a Driver to operate semi-trucks and yard equipment within the premises. This role focuses on moving vehicles and trailers, ensuring safety, and maintaining accurate DOT documentation.

The ideal candidate has a CDL, DOT medical certificate and can read and understand basic instructions. The position requires physical effort, shifts may include weekends, and training is provided for appropriate candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience operating semi-trucks and heavy equipment.
• Physically capable of manual tasks and continuous equipment maneuvering.
• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Must possess applicable CDL, DOT medical certificate and comply with all DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize vehicles, trailers, and equipment within the yard.
• Couple/uncouple trailers and position equipment for operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Must possess good depth perception and color vision.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. This role involves operating semi-trucks and yard mules to transport vehicles, trailers, and equipment within commercial or industrial establishments. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, safe operation of heavy equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced yard environment. Additional duties may include performing miscellaneous errands and other tasks as directed. This is not an over-the-road driving position, but prior tractor-trailer experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize vehicles, trailers, and equipment within the yard.
• Couple/uncouple trailers and position equipment for operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Must possess good depth perception and ability to distinguish colors red, green and yellow.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to complete Department of Transportation (DOT) Daily Driver's Logs (if applicable) in accordance with DOT Regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience operating semi-trucks and heavy equipment.
• Physically capable of manual tasks and continuous equipment maneuvering.
• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess applicable commercial driver's license (CDL), Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate and comply with all DOT regulations as it relates to operating Commercial Vehicles.
• Subject to random DOT drug testing.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
• Holidays and days off.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Lift and /or move up to 70 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
