Job summary

Zobility designs and validates air intake systems for automotive applications, including ducts, air cleaners, hoses, resonators, filters, and brackets. The engineer coordinates CAD/CAE, prototyping, and testing while tracking supplier progress and ensuring milestones are met.

The role involves on-site support at engine/vehicle assembly plants, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and participation in quality and cost-reduction activities post-launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and manage Suppliers
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities
• Some domestic and international travel (US/Canada/Mexico) to Supplier and Corporate vehicle or engine assembly plants, proving grounds, and/or technical centers

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CAD design, CAE, prototyping, and physical testing – and document the activities.
• Support sourcing activities and/or coordinate and track supplier progress to ensure part maturity and milestones.
• Provide occasional onsite support at applicable engine and/or vehicle assembly plants.
• Support quality concerns, process change validation, and technical cost reduction activities after vehicle launch.
