DHL Global Forwarding, Sterling, VA, is seeking an Air Freight Export Specialist to own outbound air shipments end to end, from booking to departure and handover to destination. You will be the main point of contact for customers, carriers and overseas stations.

Responsibilities include booking capacity, preparing export documents in CargoWise, handling dangerous goods and temperature-controlled shipments, ensuring AES filing accuracy, and meeting daily KPIs.

Competenze

• Airfreight forwarding experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CargoWise experience preferred; IATA DGR certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.
• Working knowledge of AES and US export controls.
• Strong written communication, attention to detail and follow-up.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Support onboarding of new customer lanes and implementations.

Role summary: Owns IAD outbound air export shipments end to end, from booking through departure and handover to destination, as the main point of contact for customers, carriers and overseas stations.

Requirements

• Airfreight forwarding, with export experience preferred
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• CargoWise experience preferred; IATA DGR certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.

• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Pay Range: $22.29 - $29.73/hr. (Based on Experience)
