Job summary

NV5 is seeking an experienced Risk Management Framework (RMF) Specialist to oversee and manage cybersecurity processes for Air Force information systems. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks within the RMF lifecycle, ensuring strict DoD and Air Force policy compliance.

Location is at Scott Air Force Base area with limited travel; candidates must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance and possess strong RMF, eMASS, and vulnerability scanning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity with 3+ years RMF/DoD experience.
• Willingness to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience with RMF tools (eMASS) and vulnerability scanners (Nessus/ACAS).
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-37/53/171 and DoD 8510.01.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF implementation for Air Force information systems.
• Conduct security control assessments and validate control effectiveness.
• Perform risk analyses and recommend mitigations.
• Prepare SSPs, POA&Ms, and risk assessment reports.
• Implement continuous monitoring and authorization processes.
• Collaborate with owners, developers, and stakeholders.
• Support audits, reviews, and inspections.
• Ensure alignment with Air Force cybersecurity policies and update as needed.
