OTC Industrial Technologies in West Chester, OH is seeking a hands-on Air End Rebuild / Shop Technician. You will tear down, analyze, and rebuild industrial compressor air ends to restore performance and reliability. This fast-paced shop role emphasizes precision, teamwork, and following OEM specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical, industrial, or compressor repair experience.
• Experience with rotating equipment, compressors, pumps, or gearboxes.
• Technical school or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform tear-down, inspection, and root cause failure analysis of compressor air ends.
• Clean, de-burr, polish, and restore rotors, cylinders, and end plates.
• Reassemble compressor air ends to OEM specifications and tolerances.
• Operate precision measurement tools to verify component integrity and specifications.
• Complete work orders, inspection reports, and rebuild documentation.
• Prepare parts lists and estimate repair times.
• Identify potential mechanical or process issues and take corrective action.
• Support shop operations including equipment maintenance, rentals, and general shop duties.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, quality standards, and shop efficiency.
