Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College in Georgia invites applications for an Air Conditioning Technology Instructor (Campus TBD). The role requires a Diploma in Air Conditioning and two years of industry experience; a related Associate Degree or a State conditioned air license is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and labs for the Air Conditioning Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Diploma programs.
• Provide student advisement and evaluate progress; maintain required documentation.
• Set up and supervise labs, ensure safety, and perform related duties as assigned by the Dean and Associate Dean.

Job Description:

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:

Air Conditioning Technology Instructor (Campus TBD)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under supervision of the Transportation, Logistics and Building Services Associate Dean and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential for the Air Conditioning industry. The instructor will perform all aspects of instruction as a full-time instructor for the Air Conditioning Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Diploma program. Duties include: lecture, lab, instructional activities, student advisement, evaluating students’ progress, maintaining all required documentation, performs, and/or supervises lab set up/take down and ensures lab safety requirements and other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Educational Level: This position requires a minimum of a Diploma in Air Conditioning from a Technical or Community College.
• Two years of industry experience and/or relevant training and certifications are preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A preference is given to applicants having an Associate Degree in a related field.
• A preference is given to applicants with a State of Georgia Conditioned Air license.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

$62,972 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
