Job description

The Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic assists journeyman-level air conditioning mechanics and air conditioning operators in the daily operation, maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems. The duties include repairing and modifying equipment and systems to achieve regulated climatic conditions or primarily operating air conditioning systems for large buildings or complexes.

Duties

The AC Equipment Mechanic's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performing maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues.
• Supporting the installation and modification of HVAC equipment.

Requirements

• You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
• Subject to a background/suitability investigation.
• Designated and/or random drug testing may be required.
• May serve a probationary period.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
