A leading government agency is seeking an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic to assist in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems. The role involves repairing and modifying equipment to ensure regulated climatic conditions in large buildings. Candidates must possess relevant certifications and demonstrate experience in HVAC duties.
The Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic assists journeyman-level air conditioning mechanics and air conditioning operators in the daily operation, maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems. The duties include repairing and modifying equipment and systems to achieve regulated climatic conditions or primarily operating air conditioning systems for large buildings or complexes.

To qualify, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
The candidate must possess and maintain a current Type I and Type II Certification in Refrigerant Usage and Recovery.
Experience: Evidence of training or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of this position is required. This should be supported by detailed descriptions on your resume. Applicants will be rated according to the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
