Mesabi Metallics seeks an Environmental Engineer/Specialist – Air Compliance, Monitoring & Reporting to lead air quality programs across a taconite mining, concentrating, and pelletizing facility. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, oversee emissions inventory and monitoring systems, and manage regulatory reporting with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an environmental field as listed.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Minnesota state regulations.
• Excellent technical writing and data analysis abilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist in establishing and implementing air monitoring programs per permits and regulations.
• Maintain compliance demonstration records for emissions and BACT requirements.
• Oversee monitoring systems, data acquisition, and recordkeeping.
• Review data to identify potential compliance concerns and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and support permitting.
• Provide guidance to operations and training on compliance requirements.
• Engage with environmental agencies during inspections and audits.
• Contribute to environmental compliance plans and SOPs for startup and operations.
