Job summary

Williams is seeking an Environmental Specialist II–IV in West Virginia to lead projects across air, water, and waste. You will develop and refine environmental processes, assess risks, and coordinate permit applications with internal teams and regulators.

The role emphasizes training, reporting, and continuous process improvement, with a focus on regulatory adherence and cross-functional collaboration to advance cleaner energy practices within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
IV level requires 8+ years of environmental experience.
III level requires 4+ years of environmental experience.
II level requires 2+ years of environmental experience.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains and provides guidance on environmental processes/policies.
Assesses environmental risk and addresses recommended actions with regulatory documentation.
Prepares and submits applications for environmental permits, renewals and variances with partners.
Identifies training needs and provides environmental training to partners.
Assists with preparation of compliance reports and documentation for environmental programs.
Performs environmental compliance audits as needed.
Cultivates relationships with regulatory agencies and monitors standards.
