Job summary

Everts Air in Anchorage, AK seeks a Regular Full-Time Warehouse/Freight Handler to receive and track inbound freight and assist Customer Service Counter Agents and warehouse personnel as needed.

You will offload and sort freight by destination and type, check for damage, file airway bills, load backhaul freight, maintain a clean warehouse, and support security compliance; strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, work processing systems/software, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and related terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of employment.
• Knowledge of technology used for training purposes or possess an interest in learning the technological methods used in training.
• Requires the ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to understand, retain, and deliver information verbally and written.
• Requires standing on hard surfaces, floors, ladders, and work stands for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Receive, track, and sort inbound freight; document discrepancies and ensure accurate cargo manifests.
• Load backhaul freight and assist with loading into customer vehicles.
• Maintain a clean warehouse and ramp; organize intake areas.
• Assist Customer Service Counter Agents with weight, piece count, and inventory.
• Perform periodic audits of on-hand freight and report discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with airport security guidelines and restrict access to restricted areas.
• Perform basic operator maintenance on shop vehicles and report needed repairs.
