Job Summary

The Cargo Ramp Agent loads and unloads cargo from aircraft, transports cargo between terminals and aircraft, and reports any security issues. This role requires adherence to security protocols and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in various weather and environmental conditions, including jet engine fumes, emissions, dust, and noise.
• Load and unload cargo weighing up to 70 lbs., and push, pull, and position containers up to 3,200 lbs.
• Drive vehicles weighing 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in congested areas, requiring good depth perception and color recognition.
• Transport cargo using a 3,000 lb. vehicle, navigating through congested areas.
• Read off-load sheets to determine cargo destinations.

Minimum Requirements

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Ability to work in high-noise environments
• Lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs. onto/from conveyor belts
