Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Ramp Service Agent- Air Freight to support under-wing operations, loading and unloading cargo, and keeping flights running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. This is a union-represented position.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and flexibility to work varied shifts. Starting pay is USD 21.26/hr with comprehensive benefits and total rewards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state or territory.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to get along with others.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to adapt to set procedures and quick pace.

Responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch cargo, noting and completing paperwork.
• Transfer, load and offload luggage and cargo with conveyor belts or forklifts.
• Transport luggage and cargo to various airport locations.
• Maintain ramp and warehouse areas.
